Wax/polish
I'm honestly not sure if its clear over base finish or what. I live in Texas so its' generally hot. Its kinda wierd cause the body is in very good condition(little to no door dings or scratches) while there are parts the the car the paint is in very good shape(doors, etc), while there are areas on the hood, bumper roof where the paint almost seems to be flaking off into a greyish haze...Not sure what this is or how I can approach fixing it.
Thanks for feedback.
Thanks for feedback.
its bad news for a pimp job, as polishing will likely damage the clear (in those areas)..photos needed though, as per previous poster
its time-consuming to fix properly, as the clear coat, and base needs to be wet sanded back, usually for the entire panel, re-primed, base then clear (and 2pack paint should be used)
My mate who is a pro painter tells me he rarely does them, as the value of the car is not really worth it.
An XJ with good paint commands a higher price...this means they have been mainly garaged, as it also pours rain here, and near the sea, they rust from the top down
the link method work for pic host sites etc
