Waterproof alternator?
I have a few questions about the possibility of relocating the alternator.
I'm a bit worried about getting into too much mud or water and toasting the alternator.
Has anyone tried this?
I hate that the alternator sits so low and exposed.
Any ideas? Perhaps make a shroud to deflect mud and water.
I have not had any problems yet, just tring to stay one step of a potential problem.
THanks for the advice! You guys Rock!!

I made a splash guard after I killed my first alt, it has served me very well and my alt is still holding in tough.
Here is a model I based my design off of.

I dont know what that is in the pic (not my rig) but yes I just used some sheet metal and cut it out to my likings. Then a bolt and some sheet metal screws and I had a good splash guard.
