Default Water pump just replaced. Still a leak.

So I just payed 400 for a new water pump replacement - should've done it myself, but anyways. It's still leaking engine coolant, it looks like the same place too. Is it from a hose? Or what could it be?:/

The shop diagnosed the problem, or you asked them to just replace the water pump? Makes a big difference in what the correct answer should be.

Good deal. It's a local shop, so they take forever that's the only problem haha

Found out it's the a/c that was leaking. And they put a patch on it.

How the hell do you confuse those two? Honestly I would take it back this time, but wouldn't use them anymore.

there is so much wrong here....... the a/c doesnt use coolant. It will not leak coolant. most items on an a/c system should not be patchable, they should be replaced. and a $400 bill for a water pump or a patch of some sort...... well i hope they had a girl in the waiting room to at least give you a happy ending after you got screwed!

Don't even know where to start.......First get your money back for them replacing the pump that wasn't needed or the problem (they only overcharged you about $200 if it had been the problem). Once you have your money back never return, it could have been worse.

Go to someone who knows what the hell they are doing and not tell you the AC is leaking coolant either. A dealership would not have charged you $400 for a pump installed either, so if prices aren't an issue go to one at least you will know exactly what is wrong to begin with.

I don't think we're getting the entire story. OP has surely left out some details that would help this make a little more sense.

Okay guys haha. Here's the full story. When I bought the car the compressor was a used compressor we replaced. The water pump was the leak at the time, there was no sign of a leak at the time in the a/c. The a/c was NOT working after the water pump install. So they put some more fluid in the a/c, after I told them about it and did a recharge. It worked, but they couldn't tell where the leak was coming from so they put some dye in and we are waiting. So in conclusion both parts did need a replace.
