Default Water pump change=tips please.

Hi.. I have a 94-4.0-4x4-w.air..Need to change water pump for 3rd time,but has been over 10 years since last and don't remember what to remove first..I know to remove elec. fan as changed serp belt recently..any tips will really help as old timerz is setting in fast..T.I.A. for any help/tips..Wayne

Tip: Don't bust off the thermostat housing bolts in the block!
Then,
Really ought to consider replacing everything (~$200) then you only have to make a mess yanking the lower hose once.

Don't forget to put the inlet tube on before you install the pump.

He is VERY serious when he says don't break the bolts off. Soak them suckers.

Also, good time to do a system flush. For 6$ of distilled gallons at Walmart and a 10$ Prestone flush it's one of the best things I did for my jeep. Watch Chris Fixx on YouTube for his flush method.

I suggest buying Fel-Pro gaskets for the water pump and thermostat housing. Superior to and less likely to leak than the included gaskets.

THANK YOU ALL for tips and vid.. GOT IT BACK TOGETHER AND RUNNING great again..the slow refill on radiator sure is a pain..sorry my keyboard is goofy on caps/no caps. wayne..
