Default water pump

hi i am replacing the water pump in my 99 xj 4.0. I have all of the bolts removed from the water pump but i can not get the hoses off of it. Am i doing something wrong? Thanks alot

Loosen the clamps and grab the hose just below where it goes over the water pump pipe and clinch down and twist hard. If you can't get it with your hand. Grab the hose witha set of channel locks and twist. There is no science to this. The hoses will either come off or you will destroy them in the process but, if that happens chances are they're rotten inside and you need new hoses anyway.

Thats what i did today. along with a new 3 row radiator and thermostat.
