washed motor now high idle..... WTF!

Angry washed motor now high idle..... WTF!

Washed the motor off on m 88 comanche with a garden hose with low pressure, now it idel high like 2000rpm... im letting it dry i unplugged the iac and tps to make sure the plugs are dry and pulled the dist cap to make sure i didnt get water in it. do you think i messed up the iac or tps?

Almost sounds like a vac line got broken by the water pressure.

the water psi was very low it was just falling out of the end of the hose, i was just trying to get the top layer of dirt off. all vac lines are still in place and look good. i swear jeeps are so moody.

Maybe some arching with the spark plugs/wires? Does it run rough or just smoothly at a high idle?

got it fixed, unplugged iac,tps, and cleaned out the dist with carb cleaner its good now!
