Alright ya, that's what I'ma be doin again.
And a relay is basically a heavy duty switch and fuse all in one, they help carry higher loads without a problem. I use em whenever I work with lights bigger than interior lights. It also makes wiring easier b/c u only have to run 1 wire through the firewall. Basically the power from your switch powers an electromagnet that pulls a bridge across the two other points. They also make it so u can run shorter power lines and lines directly from the battery.

Dangit, double post, might as well use this one. the way i did my grill lights is i mound the three of them across the top cross brace in the grill surround. the ones i had needed a ground on one of the tabs that held it in, so i used the blue sized ring terminals, hooked em all together, then grouned the end of the wire to a known ground, for the power i ran one 12g wire from the battery to the relay, then from the relay i connected 4 leads by way of a female spade connector and soldered/shrinktubed the connections to the lights, i also shrink tubed the spade connectors to the relay. i mounted a small switch into a slot next to my factory fog light switch, got power from a swited/aux power source, ran it through the switch to the relay through a hole in my firewall plug i made for my overhead offroad lights. the last part was the ground for the relay, i used the same ground as the lights ground.
if ya dont feel comfortable doin any of this ill do mine this weekend probably and can, if needed take pics. best way is to pull the front grill so u have lost of easy access to the back area. they looked perty cool and use very lil power!

dont do it, tryed that and, well i didnt mount them down for fear of busting my radiator with a drill bit, but i did put them in there and put the grill in front of them....long story short a good 2/3 of the light is blocked by the grille. I know sounds crazy but itz TRUE
BUT If you decide to put those in the grille and then put TWO MORE outside on the grille too, post some pics cause the incognito grill lights might not be bright, but i think they would be cool

i'm going to make a bracket that bolts on where the stock fogs bolt on and move them back about 4 inches. lights will probably be flush with the grille

i assume you know your positive and negatives.are the amp ratings confusing you? theres alot to think about when it comes to safe electrical wiring, and fires are bad...

sweet i think i might have some what of a idea to how to do this now! i just wish i could do it without having all them wires hanging off my batt. how many lights can i run off one relay? is it 2 or does it depend on how much power the lights pull?
