I'm kind of strapped on cash, and every place around here is charging $125-$160 to replace it, and that's just labor (I'm buying it myself so I can bring the old booster in for the core charge refund). Can anyone help me out on how to do it? I found a really simple step by step on ehow.com, but I'd rather be told by Cherokee professionals as yourselves.
It's a 1991 Jeep Cherokee, straight six 4.0. I've had the master cylinder replaced already, so that's still good.
Also, I know I'll need to bleed the lines, so how much brake fluid do I need? And can you also help me with that process as well?

Recall both vids when looking into doing mine. That second video, IIRC, is the guy just kinda telling what he did...and not showing how.
First video showed more and is explaining the things to watch for when upgrading as well.
Its pretty straight forward, its mostly, as always, getting to the part in this case...it will need a bit of body twisting.
There is probably an amount documented somewhere, I used the occasion to flush my old fluid out. 2x 500 ml should be more than enough.
Dont forget to bleed the valve assembly too....I didnt even know about it, till I was bleeding my system after MC replacement

13mm deep socket with swivel long extensions at least 16 inch and rachet all 3/8s drive with flashlight. Theres no need to crack open hydraulic system master will pull back plenty far for swap. All can be done less than a hour.

You most likely have the Bendix system. (The pump on the passenger side with a goofy looking set up on the driver side with a black softball sized pressure tank) I just replaced all of mine by ripping it out and swapping in a booster and mc from a 96+. Wasn't hard to do. Hardest part was having to cut the the ends of 3 brake lines and replacing them with the correct fittings. I had to buy the flare tool ($20 at Advance) an a line cutting tool ($10 lowes). Then bleed the brakes.
nope its that system.... i'm going to ditch it once i get it to my house i only need to go 1.6 miles according to my odometer from driving there the other day... it's that close to home... I found it going to the local hotdog shop and left a note on the window asking if it was for sale since it had no plates and wasn't rusting apart.
