Default Wait what? Cruise control!!!?

i've been looking at this stuff puzzled for the last two years and I just realized it's cruise control. However, there is no CC lever inside the car. whhhaaaaaaatt? The yellow box and all that is wired up under the dash too. Notice how the trim is blue there because this ol boy has been stolen 3 times. I wonder how many vacuum leaks I have because of this.

That's certainly the CC actuator. My guess giving the history of theft, it that the turn signal stalk was broken or removed and a non CC one installed. It just pushes into the wiper/turn signal switches. There's a small 4 wire harness that passes through the column and connects at the base for the CC controls. Perhaps they just cut the harness off at the stalk.

That's what I'm thinking. I think I will get rid of all the stuff and cap the lines. I haven't opened it up yet but i'm not sure if the covers were changed or the whole steering column is different. on what planet did the 87 pioneer ever come with cruise control?

It's possible the column was changed out at some point. The color doesn't match.

It looks like a locking throttle, like a manual cruise control locking cable. Push the button and position the **** in/out, then twist the **** to lock it. Like a light plane throttle.

man, i am glad yall thought of the cable actuator. i was worried it was a funky cruise control **** too. i was picturing someone trying to hit the brakes to miss a kid on a bike and the jeep not stopping because the rpms were stuck from that **** being locked down.

bros....its a posi lock hahaahahahahah. I got the cruise control version of the **** from a chevy van but i dont actually have the wire going through the column. fyi the cable system is a joke, just lock the axle or swap the shaft. i hate it. question tho, should i just rip out the CC and post it in the sale section?
