Wagoneer/Cherokee Headliner?

I'm in the process now of doing mine now. I've decided to go with spray truck bed liner. My interior is black and the liner was gray. My dime lights, speaker grills and sun visors will be gray still but oh well. Sick of the thing flopping on my head.
Anyone have success getting the foam off other than just rubbing it?

Thanks for the idea on the brush. Wish I thought of it earlier. Here a couple cleaned up and then 2 cans of spray can bed liner. Going to use a couple more for better coverage. It's not perfect but better than a sagging liner. I'll add another pic once I have it installed.
