Default Vibrations when on the gas

A couple weeks ago my Cherokee developed a little vibration in it. It's not major and only does it while pushing on the gas pedal, once I let off it is smooth. I checked the drive train and everything is solid but there is a little movement in the rubber part of tranny mount...not sure how much it should move if any...what do you think?

i would say one of the u points on your rear drive shaft. when the rear ujoint went bad on mine it made a grinding noise kindof. when the front one on the driveshaft went bad it made the same vibrating that you said. stopped when i let off of the gas but it gets alot worse after a while i would check it out

I'll double check them, but the driveshaft felt tight, no movement at joints....still curious as to whether or not there should be any movement at the trans mount

It could be in the mounts.... But U-joints is number one culprit here. DROP the shaft and chck the joints.. Wiggling the shaft might not tell you anything. Check the bearings while you are there.

It could also be a driveshaft weight. If you threw a weight it may become off balanced slightly causing a vibration.
