Default very odd question...

Ok.. so i finally found the source of my transmission leak (i think) i doubt its the front seal.. or was.. the bolts going through the bell housing.. (into the block) are MISSING or atleast 3 of them are..

The dealer told me the dimentions of the bolt..

3/8" 16x1.875

and

7/16 14x3.125

do these make sense to anyone out there?

I think they are 7/16" bolts with coarse thread that are 3.125" long? anyways anyone that knows about bolt measurments or if you know are there 2 different bolts that go into my housing? long and short? weird...

weird...

There is a bolt expert on NAXJA he goes by the handle 5-90 PM him with your question. He is also a member here but rarely comes here anymore since he is a MOD there.

They gave you a measurement in standard which is the 3/8 and 7/16, but you should ignore that cause that is just the head sizes.

14 X 3.125 is better, its 14 mm head with a 3.125mm length, but i dont know if that will help with the thread type.....

Ok this is what i figured out.. so far...

The bolts are 7/16 and 3/8 (obviously)

the 2nd number 14 or 16 is the thread type, kind of a measurement for thread count? im not sure but they do have that at the store

the 3rd number is the length, so 3 1/8" length or 1 7/8"

so i guess i learned something!
