valve cover vent valves/grommets??
Anyone know where I can buy a set of new plastic valves and grommets for the valve cover?
I pulled them out to paint the cover and discovered they are very brittle / the front one busted to smithereens...
not sure what the front # was but the rear is #53030497
dealer can order the rear but only in packs of 4
anyone have the part # for the front?

5303-0991 according to quadratec.
https://www.quadratec.com/products/5...SABEgLxvvD_BwE
It lists all kinds of years including 95.. but the 95 parts catalog lists it as 5303-0495.
Grommets are
OE - 2946079
Dorman - 42344

Thanks Pat...
Another question..
What is the difference in these 2 valves? Can I just install 2 open vents or do I need to find the funky one in the front also?
Is that a PCV valve?

It's just an elbow. You might be able to find one at your local parts store.
I'd replace it with the proper part, but then again I already ordered a set in preparation for replacing my valve cover gasket.
Someone recently posted a picture where they used an old school looking air filter (sort of like the kind you'd see on an old carburetor engine) on it. (For the front)
I'd make sure to use the correct one for the rear (with the "orifice"/tiny hole) since it is involved in the vacuum system.

Ok, sorry, numbers are reversed 0495 is the funky one and 0497 is the open one.
Like I said, I'd make sure the rear elbow with the small hole is used, but I think the front one (the one that broke on you) is whatever you want to do.

Both holes are the same rubber grommet.
Elbow on the front is open to just take air in from the air intake
Elbow in the rear is restricted hence the smaller hole.

Oreilly auto pars has them in their self help section. dorman part numbers. The one in the rear usually will work in the front. Just drill a 3/8th hole in it

have done that with the front one
I notice this caused some slight oil blowby out the filler cap
keeping an eye on the valve cover top to see if any blowby is escaping under driving conditions
