i was working around the blower motor area to give you an idea. i have no idea if i disconnected it by mistake, or if it was already like this, but it definitely sucks vacuum so i'd like to know where to plug it or if i should just cap it off. jeep idles fine without it plugged in.
it goes inside the firewall, no idea where to. i looked and look but couldn't find anything where to plug it onto. even removed the washing fluid reservoir to see if it was on there but nope.
Looks like it's for the Heater control valve, which would be right there on the heater lines. Unless it already got deleted, they're unnecessary and break all the time.
good call, my mechanic removed the valve when i first brought him the jeep years ago, so that must be it. should i do something about it like cap it off or it really doesn't matter?
I would, you're loosing the vacuum pressure to that.
I cut mine short, just a few inches from the firewall, and sealed the cap with RTV. My valve actually blew as I was going down the highway... That wasn't fun.
cheers i'll go do the same. and i'm sure it was not.. i wasn't aware of that valve back then and he probably saved me a similar experience because it started leaking and he told me he should just throw it in the thrash to save me money, instead of replacing it
