Default vacuum/brake question please help

ok i just bought my 94 xj 4.0 automatic non abs i think.i was changing the heater core the other day and under the cores inlet/outlet tubes theres a blueish canister well i seen a vac. hose just layin there so i chased it to see were it went. it runs against the firewall behind the motor and connects to a hard line and runs over to proportioning valve so can anone tell me were it should connect on the pass. side of the vehicle

also i have a open vac. line right by the battery which i think should go to the vac ball behind the bumper but the canister is missing it was in the back seat when i bought this rig/heep am i correct the open line should go to the football thanks ahead of time for all your help guys

Hi, the vacuum ball does go in the bumper and it holds vacuum for the def, heat and vents when you are accelerating. I also sent you a PM so check that...Tj
