Default Useless display on the right of the instrument panel?

What is this used for? Is it just for looks, to mirror the left or what?

Thanks!,

I'm not 100% but I think it is where the cruise control buttons were located on models that were equipped. That's my best guess.

No, the cruise control buttons are on the lever behind the steering wheel. That is the place where the digital clock goes when equipped.

without the clock, it serves as a great location to place your switches for lights, air compressor, or any other confangled electrical device you want to turn on or off.

They put that there so when you add stuf to your jeep you would have a good spot to mount the switches.

That area is pretty shallow, the black plastic behind it is the ducting for the HVAC.

I found this out when i installed my interior winch controls.
