Sometimes heating with just a propane torch will make enough differance to get it knocked out, Don't get crazy with the heat--and keep an exting. handy!!

yeah I guess socal is a bit far to come lend a hand...
I dunno man, unless you can get to a press it may be done for. Maybe soak the whole yoke end in a cup full of PB blaster overnight, then try to beat it out with no heat in the morning..

looks like you have had a few hits on the yoke/ It happens to most all of us. I think your best bet is gonna be a press with some carefull grinding prior to pressing

the only other thing I can think of is to cut the joint in two places with a hacksaw or sawzall with metal blade. This would allow the center of the joint to be removed so you could work on the caps one at a time, may be easier. you seem to be dead set on saving this shaft, so I am trying to get you through this.

Thanks guys for all your help thus far. I really appreciate it. I've been sawing away for the last 30 minutes or so with a hacksaw and it seems to be going alright, if I can get the joint out I think the caps will just pop out. It's just going to take some time, I'll update you guys with my progress. Thanks again!

oxy-acetylene torch!!!
