My buddy has a 95 XJ he says when he turns the key over to start it as soon as he lets go after starting it it shut itself off I've never had this problem so I'm asking for advice maybe I can help him out his rig is 100 percent stock...if I could get this thing running for him maybe he would stop calling me for rides to work lol...anything helps guys..as soon as I get some free time from work ima go to his house to mess with it?????????????

 

Start with cleaning the IAC. Load testing the battery and testing for proper fuel pressure would be good starts as well.

 

Ok I will start there...it will at least be a few days before I get to it...iac? Idle air control valve right?

 

Correct you are. The sensor on the throttle body. Pull it out, spray it with some carb cleaner and scrub it with an old toothbrush.
