Hoping that someone here can give me an identification of the little valve looking thing. Nice description! Anyway PO cut and plugged the vac line. Not certain why. Any ideas? I think that the thing is an air inlet port but not certain of its purpose or if it is critical to repair the broken line. Jeep seems to run fine. It is a 91 Briarwood with the 4.0.
Thanks for the assist.
Oh yeah, Any ideas on how to splice a little line like that would be great as well.

That connector is the vacuum supply for your EVAP CANISTER.
It follows a larger plastic tune to the passenger's side of the motor where it connects to the canister.

Good idea to repair what the DAPO had no intellect to.

Just a small piece of tubing and a hose repair barb.
