u-joint aggro

Just did the u-joints on my rear DS. Noticed that the yoke ears on the DS can't be reversed...so you can't really get the thing "out of phase". That's good...
But the u-joint fits so loosely that you can't really get the cups started properly without a c-clamp or press or hammer...so, in true shade tree mechanic fashion, I got one of the little bitty needle bearings to fall over and did not realize it until the snap ring would not go in. Duh. Pulled it apart, took the squashed one out, put one in from the old ujoint, reassembled.
The good news is the driveline vibration is gone. Just the tiny bit of wear in those u-joints gave rise to quite a surprising amount of vibration.
