Need to do u-joints and ball joint, dont have the cash for the parts store press tool rental $200.00 bones!!!! Is there an alternative for pressing these in?? To get the ball-joints out, i was just gonna heat them up. and air hammer them out, can i use the air hammer for the u-joint as well??

Vise and socket and hammer for u joint.
Ball joints are a pita to press without the proper tool. I would not recommend heat due to warpage and reducing tensile strength.

Using an air hammer for the ball joints will just wreck them. Save up the cash and rent the right tool. You'll get your money back after you return the tool. So save the cash and get the right tool, it will save you money in the long run. Just my two coppers
