Hi everyone,

I've posted here before with great success so I'm back again lookin for a little help. This time I have a 2001 2wd XJ stock and the turn signals work pretty much when they want to. I've noticed they will come on (either direction) for about 3 clicks then go off only to come back on again after a few seconds. it doesn't seem to matter what position the steering wheels is in. If it goes off and doesn't come back on by itself I can re-flick the switch and get it back on for a few clicks.

Has anyone ever heard of this before? could it be electrical or mechanical?

I appreciate all the help everyone in this community has given me in the past and if it wouldn't be coming up for inspection I wouldn't worry about this little problem, but she's my daily driver so....

Sounds like the flasher relay under the dash may be going out.

 

Where under the dash exactly? Its not the same as my 92

 

I believe it's around the steering wheel but I've never actually looked for it under mine.
