A little while ago i was at a red light and had my turn signal on for about 30 40 seconds or so and it stopped flashing, i figured it was just a coincidence, but now its happening more often. sometimes it blinks with no problems, sometimes it stops after a few blinks.
the turn signal on the dash stays a solid color green (doesnt flash with the light) and the light doesnt blink but stays on, no blinking.
Kind of seems like something might be over heating, because when it goes solid i turn the signal off and try to turn it back on and its solid, but if i wait a about a minute it works for a few blinks then stops again. if i dont use it for a long time like a hour, it will work for about 30 blinks or more.

I had a similar problem. My blinker would only work intermittently on left turns. I replaced the flasher relay and my multifunction switch on the steering column. That fixed it. flasher relay was $15 i think at autozone and the multifunction switch was $40.

you mean you replaced the turn signal switch/lever, or the multifunction switch for the wipers ect.

I had a similar issue, but mine only did out with the left blinker. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't and sometimes it would stop working...
Turns out one of the bulbs were loose.
Tighten'd the bulb and it hadn't been a problem since; then it happened again, checked the bulbs and one burned out.
Go figure, replaced it and now everything works again, like it should

Mine was doing that once in a while with no warning. The ground strap off negative cable on battery was hooked up good and I thought that wasn't an issue but later it broke off of nut holding the wire to the body and it was too rusty to remove the nut. I drilled new hole and put on new wire for strap and it hasn't happened since. After cutting that wire I was surprised how much corrosion there was hiding in that wire.
There is nothing more infuriating than your own jeep brake checking you.
Wrong thread my bad.
