I have a 2000 xj and it been making this weird buzzing noise every time I put my turn signal on to either side. When this happens sometimes the blinker will flash a couple times but then it will keep making the noise and get stuck that way until I turn it off. I checked with my hazards and all my lights are working. If anyone has any Idea on whats going on or how to fix it please let me know thankyou!

 

I wonder if the cam / switch might be out of alignment? Sometimes if I turn my left blinker on and the arm doesn't quite lock all the way into position, it makes a buzzing sound until I turn if off, or force it the rest of the way into position.

 

Mine has done this a few times...but my lever was halfway between being on and off, the light was solid and making a funny noise...My guess is my switch is wore out...I just make sure I turn it all the way off lol.

 

If it doesn't do it when you turn your hazards on, then it's not the relay. Just about all that's left is the switch. You can pull another one out of a junk yard for about $15.
