Troubleshooting 1996 Cherokee starting issues
How would I go about diagnosing the actual part at fault? My issue is it cranks and cranks a ton before it starts. I can decrease the cranking time if continuesly prime pump before I crank it,but it still takes a little while. The car runs fine once it starts.
This was an issue before I put a remanufactured pump in from my jeep dealer,so it's not that. My best guess is the check valve has gone bad somehow, but I don't know where it's exactly at,and I don't want to operate on just guessing. I think it's obvious I need to get a pressure tester, but I still wouldn't be able to figure out where it's losing the pressure from whether it be the valve or injectors. Any help on what steps to take will help. Thanks in advance.
