I was thinking the same. I have to get mine back on also. I like the look of it. I was just ganna pull them off fix any rust or anything behind them and just use an ahisive to bond it. Not sure what kind yet though.

i'd pull it off completely, remove as much of the old sticky stuff as possible, clean both the door and trim piece so no dirt or contaminants get between the tape (i've used the 3M stuff as well, and learned the hard way years ago that the stuff only works on super clean surfaces), make sure that it is relatively warm so the glue on the tape is nice and tacky, and firmly press and hold on for a few minuets and make sure it is still warm, borrowing a hair dryer and gently going over it a few times (not holding it in one spot, keep it moving) will warm the glue up nice and make it tacky. after you get it back onto your jeep, go slowly over the trim piece with the hair dryer.

just for some reason, whenever i have used 3M trim tape it never wants to stick until i heat it up. only time i never have to worry about it is on days that it is well over 75 degrees outside.

I read on the forum somwhere that there is an accelerater you can use to help the adhesive stick as well.

3m has two types of adhesive. One barely does squat and the other is like a foam tape but when compressed it releases a glue. The latter is what I used and it has been on for over a year now.
