Haha, wrong. I have been battling DW on my XJ before and after my lift. It always hits around 55 mph and it always deals like the axle is going to get ripped off the frame. So yes nasty DW can and does happen at higher speeds and no I have not wrecked... yet

Personally, I had to replace my tires to fix mine. The tires looked good. They balanced. But only new tires cured it. Same for another Cherokee at work.
Same here..............Tires and tire balance can do it.........Try this.........Drop your tire air pressure to 15-20 lbs...The softer tire will absorb the harmonics......This will help a lot until you figure it out....You should be able to drive it to work..I learned this trick from an Old Time Jeeper....I have a TJ that rides great a 20 lbs but wobbles at anything 25 plus.........Same with my XJ. Had to drive it at 20 lbs until I had the tires rotated and balanced. My TJ shook so bad it felt like it was coming apart and everything is very tight under the front end. Good Luck........I hope this helps...............

Didn't read all the posts but I have had issues with multiple Cherokees with death wobble. my newest one I have a brand new double sheer trac bar and the whole works. All the front end links and tie rod ends are good. my shock bushings were bad at the bottom. Fabed some bar pin eliminator and put new bushings. When I installed them, death wobble went away. I don't no why (really bad) shock bushings would cause death wobble but apparently it was. Long story short, check those. My death wobble was 52-58mph only so sounds about in your ballpark

Sounds like a good recipe for a roll over, not to mention all the unnecessary stress placed on the tires.
