Howdy,

I just picked up a transmission and transfer case for my 1996 4.0 cherokee (automatic AW-4). It's from the same year and model off another xj. This will be my first transmission swap and wanted to know if there were any "tricks" when doing it. I know when I took my motor out before that the bell housing bolts were quite a pain. I'd like to avoid getting stuck on anything for an hour or two and I wanted some tips from someone that's done this before. My xj's been parked since November so it's killing me!
