Default Transmission Swap tips

Im not a mechanic though Im not afraid to get my hands dirty. Ive done quite a few things but never swapped out a transmission.

I just picked up a transmission and torque converter for the '95 XJ as it started slipping badly a few days ago. I have to have it road worthy before I can drop the tranny from the WJ to rebuild it.

Aside from 8 quarts of Dexron III/Mercon, what else do I need?
Any tips for making this go smoothly?
Whats the best way to get the most fluid out of the system?
Will I lose any fluid from the transfer case when I remove it?
Will I need any tools other then a basic socket set?
Do I need any Torx bits?
Anything else I should be doing other then replacing the torque converter, transmission, and fluid?

TIA

Yeah E10 torx sockets for the top 2 trany bolts. Other then that a good floor jack prefereable a rented trany jack. Mark all cables and lines, and disconect and should be easy as pie.Main thing is the E10 torx sockets, I got mine at sears. Without them getting those two top bolts out is a real pain in the ****..
