Default transmission swap question...

Im in the process of stripping my rotted and broken body,92 xj's wireing harness, 4.0 engine, and auto trans, and axles so I can swap into my clean 88 xj body is there any chance the transmission from the 88 will work with the 92 wireing harness/computer? the only reason I ask is that my 92 had 140k on it, and the 88 has 100k on the odo, but the transmission has a reman warranty tag on it, a bright blue torque converter and very very clean fluid. thanks for any input.

they are both automatics, they both appear to be the same, same tranny line quick disconnects, same dip stick, same white plug with 7 pins, they look the same, but I would really hate to go through all the trouble of putting it in, and have it not work for some strange reason.
