Hello all. My first post and looking for some help for my brother-in-law located in Europe. As google translate doesnt help me too much, I am understanding at least he has transmission problems. he has a 1990 Jeep Cherokee 4x4.

He says reverse does not work, and drive does work. And I cannot understand but he might be having problems with neutral as well.

Just browsing the net, its possible he could just make some adjustments or is this a bigger problem. He can work on the car if I can find out what the problem is. I can also order parts and ship them to him, but thats expensive so I only ship parts when we have the problem pinned down.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

 

Unless it is a linkage problem, I would bet on it being an internal issue that he won't be able to fix easily (think rebuild).
