Default Transmission cooler lines????

Hey so this line is pinched and I’m trying to figure out what it is. I’m guessing some sort of transmission cooler line or something, but in order to replace it I need to know for sure what part it is exactly so I can purchase a new one? Anybody know???

Hopefully this makes sense

In case you're wondering which line to order, here's how to tell which one is the outlet and which is the return.

Simple. Just remember R&R. Rear is Return.

XjToday365, before you replace them, figure out WHY they are pinched. That should not happen. You need to know why it did.

Check your motor & transmission mounts, for starters.

Usually its cause the coil spring bump stop is missing or rotted

That system threw me for a while when i was installing an aux cooler...i assumed the heavy duty thread on connector end was the pressure feed to the cooler and the simple hose and clamp was the return...NOT

One of the FSM diagrams shows the flow backwards, which doesn't help. Just remember that normally coolers should from the bottom so it doesn't they trap air bubbles, and indeed the cooler in the radiator is the input. Just don't start the debate about whether an aux cooler should be plumbed before or after the heat exchanger in the radiator. :}

Thumbs up Replaced Leak prone Chrysler fittings

Best transmission mod: Parker 14 X 1.5 metric thread Hose Barb (MSC part 80258445), hose clamps, about 3" of 3/8" fuel line. A small 6mm wrench to tighten the clamps where a screw driver will not reach. NO need to cut the lines.

Chrysler's bad design regurgitated by Doorman

Parker's fitting

installed - no more leaks!
