Default Transfercase gear setup

I havn't seen anyone on here talk about changing the gearing in there tcase or installing a twin stick set up. Do they make a twin stick setup and where is the best place to buy gears for a tcase?

do some research on "Dana 300 flip kit"

I know thats a company that makes a direct bolt on for xj's, the only thing is you need a space in between the tranny and t-case

and i know Teraflex makes a 4:1 gears for t-case

Thats the Atlas from Advanced Adapters.

There is some regearing available from Tera Flex like stated above for the NP231, 4:1 is what they offer. But I think its a good case on its own at 2.72:1. It suites my needs at least.

You could find a Dana 300 out of old CJs. Its a good case, gearing are deeper, its gear driven and can withstand V8 power. The case is pass side drop so you would have to clock it or swap a different axle in. And as far as twin sticks yes they are available for the Dana 300.

There is no way to twin stick the np231 or the np242.

The d300 needs a flip kit to be able to be run with stock axles. THey can be twin sticked with some mods.

The closest thing to a twin stick is the Terra Flex 4 to 1 kit. This kit replaces the front half of your case, and gives you the capability of 2 low.
