transfer input swap
I have a j242 with 23 spline input that won't out on me. I have a j231 21 spline. My question is can I swap the 242 23spline input into the j231 transfer to make it work on my jeep?

Does anyone know if there is a diffrence in the input shaft between a j231 and a j242? (besides the spline count) length, diameter, is it spline diffrent on the 242 because it's the quadratrac? Hoping to get some feed back before I just tear into them. Thanks.
