Transfer Case Problems
A friend of mine has a 99 with a 4.0 and NP231 transfer case. It goes fine in 2wd, but in 4HI or 4LO it acts like it is in neutral. Any suggestions?

there is a plastic bushing piece that will deteriorate over time, it is what the lever on the transfer case mounts to the chassis with, i would check this part first as this may be a very easy fix.
