I have a 96 sport w an auto trans and I don't believe its ever been flushed u guys recommend flushing it or just leave it alone. I have no issues now so I'm not sure if it will benefit it or.hurt it
Use the drain plug and fill it back up.
it won't drain too much, but enough that if you do it a few times it make a significant difference.
I did it three times when I bought mine at 155K miles. no ill effects. I would suggest, but take no responsibility

I got mine done at 260,000 I don't know when it was done last but it was worth it. Shifts into D,R, and park alot smoother. Don't notice much difference on the road shifting. I've got like 277,000 on it now no troubles.

I got my jeep at 153k miles from my dad and did the poor mans flush every 10k miles. Before that it was never changed. Drain the tranny pan and add 3 quarts of Dexron/Mercron 3. My jeep has 178k now and still shifts like it is new.
