Jeeps apart, managed to break the tensioner pulley bolt -_-.
But Ok im going to bump this back up since I am waiting for a ride for the t-stat.
What else would make the trans froth up fluid like that?
I was noticing that the trans hasnt been responding like it should especially on cold starts. Which makes me think the fluid was constantly low.
I topped it off everytime I thought to check it and it was low everytime.
So anyone with an idea please help me out please!
I hope I dont have to loose yet another job because of this jeep

I would check the vent tube on the trans to start.
If the vent tube is blocked or clogged, the trans can't vent any pressure build up. If it can't vent, the pressure has to go somewhere. The dipstick tube is going to be the easiest place to release the pressure.
Also, if your T-Stat were stuck closed, the Jeep would over heat. Seriously overheat. If you can drive it for a while and it stays a shy over 210, you're fine. If thermostat were stuck closed completely, you would peg the temp gauge very quickly because no coolant is cycling through head and block and the engine continues to build heat.
If the vent tube is open and not blocked, but you still have trans fluid that is basically getting hot and boiling out of the dipstick, you probably have a trans cooler line to the radiator blocked.

2000 Cherokee 175k, car has a bad thermostat.
After a long day of wheeling I get home, park, and notice fluid is basically exploding out of my trans dipstick.
I figured maybe I had too much fluid in the trans and it frothed up.
Ok I refill it and next time the car is off after being hot same situation.
This has happened to the point where it has left me stranded and I had to drive it about 15 minutes with low fluid.
Just missed a traffic court hearing because of it and I am so tired of wasting money on this POS already.
Could the bad thermostat be causing the cooler for the trans in the radiator to overheat as well?

Honestly the vent tube is tucked under the car on top of the trans somewhere. I will go check that out now
Thanks!
But why would this make it get all bubbly? and frothy?
Alright thats good to know, Guessing its the headgasket making the heat issue. I can feel its hotter than normal even heat off it still gets really hot by both front footwells.
Hoping this isnt the case, Would it be alright to use compressed air to clear out the lines im guessing?
Nothign was changed, But it was a little muddy and I can honestly say I might of bottomed out over somethings. My muffler is flapping around.
But I noticed it when I got home after the lone 3+ hours of driving (with a full car of dudes)
Parked it on my driveway and surprise trans fluid spilling everywhere.
Which is why I originally thought it was just the level was high.
I just checked and it does say "check while in neutral, while hot"
Thats how I have been checking it
Thanks!

Yup! Made sure the ground was level I parked in my garage to make sure.
And the trans pan has a new gasket when the trans went in about 4 months ago.
All I see is fluid coming from the dipstick and I only notice it when the car is off.
But it may of happened at idle after highway speeds now that I think of it.
(noticed smoke at the time, today noticed trans fluid spilling on exhaust)
Starting to sound more and more like a vent tube
