I just got a 1998 xj se, 2 WD, auto. I want to crack it open and get the fluids changed. How do I tell what tranny I have? It does have a drain plug in the pan. but I want to drop the pan and change the filter and see inside. Also I do have the 8.25 differential but right now I don't know if it's got the limited slip. The truck sits on 33's with a 4.5" lift. I don't have a jack tall enough to turn the wheels. So back to the ? what tranny? what fluid? what rear? and what fluid? Any help...thanks
