I just did mine this weekend on a 87 Cherokee Laredo. I removed the entire grille to fit it in and my jeep already had a very small cooler on it. So I used the same hose routing that was on the stock one and tada. it was done.
Some notes. Make sure you have a big drip pan under your jeep for tranny fluid collection and also buy an extra length of hose about three foot long. Also get about a quart of tranny fluid.
I used a Hayden 405 from summit for around fifty bucks and it works great.
