If anyone else has had this problem please tell me!
i have a 1989 jeep cherokee and i installed a 4'' lift. it has an aftermarket track bar, brand new, only been on for like 8 months. (now, im only 18, im still learning alot about jeep mods and just vehicles in general,) i noticed a popping noise recently, and i located it at the track bar. i had a friend wiggle the steering wheel back and forth about an inch to an inch and a half and i can see the heim joint moving and making the pop noise. but im not totally sure why... the bushings are still good, (as i have read from someone else who had the same popping but had bad bushings i guess) the popping is enough that i can feel it in the pedals, so any help will be much appreciated!

 

Everybody has this problem. I've seen this same problem come up probably 5 times in the past week.

If everything is tight (all bolts of the track bar and track bar bracket), your joint is bad. Get a double sheet track bar. IRO, Rubicon Express, Ironman 4x4, Rockkrawler, etc...
