Track bar drop bracket Vs. Adj. Track bar
Well i'm a high school kid on a budget.. I've got the rear raised 3" and the front 1.75". I'm buying new 3" coils and shocks for the front. My question is do I really need to buy an IRO double shear adjustable track bar.. or will a track bar relocation bracket perform well enough? I don't do hardly any offroading but it is my DD. Input needed!

Don't get the relocation bracket. It may seem better budget wise but if you save a little cash and get a currie adj. Trackbar, you won't have to worry about it for a long time. stock trackbars aren't made for extreme offloading and the drop bracket just put even more stress on them. you'll find that it's so much better to just be able to wheel without worrying about breaking stuff and that won't happen unless you spend a lil cash. if you don't have the cash then I really recomend at least getting a cheap adj. Trackbar until you get the money for a currie.

I run the IRO double shear and its awesome, easy to install, havent had a problem yet and is a solid bar of steel!!! I got the 3.5-7" lift on because I doubt I'll stay at 3.5"
I'm not sure on the bracket but if you tight for money you could redrill the axle mount. I almost did this on mine (college budget), but the frame end was bad so i got a new track bar. You will have to do some research and if your worried about the strength of the mount (which shouldnt be an issue if its DD), you can weld on a plate to beef up the area. or have a shop weld it if you dont have the tools/skills

At 3" you don't need an adjustable track bar. Simply re-drill the axle side mounting hole 3/4"-1" toward the drivers side and you're good to go.
Yes...a vendor told you not to buy something.....
Weird ain't it.

yup FrankZ is correct. just make sure you keep the bolt torqued down or you will wallow out the hole.
I ran mine for a few years of hard wheeling (you can see the old redrilled hole in this picture)

Agree, worked for me w/ 4" lift installed in 2000, 85k miles ago. Mostly street with some rough desert use a few times a year.
