How can I figure out if my xj has the towing package? Its a 98 sport. It has a hitch and wiring. Wiring is located by the spare tire, which does't seem to be factory because I have to hang the wires out the back door when I want to use them.

Yeah I can't imagine trying to get a 5x4 through city traffic! As for floating you can do it on a little 5 speed... it's a lot trickier though since the gears aren't built for it.

Otherwise you have to get a build sheet from Chrysler. There's a link on their website to contact them regarding a vehicle, just ask for the factory build data.
