I need a set of front tow hooks, and was wondering what you guys thought was the best to get was?
considering price/ease of install/durability etc.

I got a set of the D-Rings because the strap would always slide off of my hooks This place makes them to fit an XJ

I have the same setup and they work great. I bent the passenger side bracket after a good yank from a winch, but it's still in working condition with no visible cracks!

Check the local JY for XJs with the OEM Tow Hooks. You can't beat the price and the OEM towhooks are a great set up. They have the brackets tying them into the frame. It is a good design. There is an 88 XJ sitting on my local scrap yard right now with the OEM front tow hooks on it.
