Default Torque Converter Heating Issues TEST

I want to have a test pipe made for my XJ to see if my overheating issues can be remedied by replacing my cat. I want to take it back to the trails where it always runs super hot. That said I was wondering if anyone has experienced lower engine running temps by removing it. That way I wont have to have a test pipe made. If I can put a higher flowing cat in or just a new one to make it run cooler I will.

I know the law on keeping it.....This is only a test, and merely that. Thanks for the info.

I have noticed lower engine temps as a result of not having a cat, but I'd done a number of things to the Jeep at that point so it's hard to quantify that the removal of the cat was the root cause of it.

Running no cat is Not against the law for a ORV.

I say go for it...but what does a torque converter have to do with anything?

Serious? If the cat is plugged up or bad it can cause heating issues. If it is removed completely will it run a bunch cooler? That was my question since my normal operating temp on the trail is way higher then the street. Its not trail only rig it does drive on the street that's why it was going to be a test to see if my cat was messed up.
