Tools for changing CPS?
Can anyone give me a tools list for changing the CPS? I'm at work and my CPS cable burnt in half from the exhaust manifold. Need to walk over to walmart and just get the tools I need to change it.

Nvm. I found another post that has it. I managed to get my front tires up on a big curb in the parking lot. Probably still going to be a pain.

I just changed mine about 15 mins ago. After searching this place I came across a link that had this tip, and it made all the difference in the world:
Tech Tip: - To more easily remove & replace the CPS use a floor jack to support your transmission cross member, remove the two bolts & two studs (replace those with bolts if you break one), then lower the transmission cross member by about 1-2 inches. This will give you enough room to get your hands & tools in for the CPS work. (Especially if you have big hands!)
The cross member bolts are 5/16, but they felt sloppy, so I used a 15mm for them. I tried for about 40-50 mins to get at the CPS bolts before the floor jack trick, after that, 15mins and I was done. I also used a small 1/4 drive ratchet with a 3-4" extension..7/16 for the CPS bolt
Hope this helps.

wife hands and a 1/4 inch ratchet work wonders too... she crawled underneath and I help out on top. We had it out and changed in 20 minutes. If someone positions the ratchet from the bottom, the other someone can break it free from the top. No problems.

11mm short socket, a wobble socket, a ratchet and several extensions. First time I changed mine, it took about 20 min. or so. Not too hard once I figured out where it was.
