Default Tom Wood's SYE and CV DS

I am contemplating getting a SYE and CV DS with a little bit of money I just fell into, could somebody tell me the benefits of replacing the stock parts with Tom Wood's? I've heard it's a good thing to do, but other than that am clueless.

Thanks.

if you go to much over 4" you will need a different driveshaft other than that you do need one.

well the benefit is you get a much larger rear main shaft that has like 50% better torque capacity then stock. plus the drive shaft is a cv joint that will give a much better angle then the stock one and eliminate vibration's

Well you could even need it at 4" or not at all at 6.5" but if you are going to do a SYE with a NEW drive shaft Tom Woods makes one of the best products out there. There are other options that are just as good for street and mild offroading but Woods stuff you can do just about anything and not worry about it and they do custom stuff for really big lifts.

it's not necessary to get the sye from tom woods, but they dont make a great ds. i've been very pleased with mine. the only bad thing i can say about them is that a buddy of mine realized his rear ds he bought from them was missing a zerk fitting, not like it had been sheered off, but it was never there. and they said they wouldnt replace it for free, he would have to pay to send it back and have it rebuilt, kinda unimpressive i think
