Question tires

would i be able to fit 30x9.5" tires on my stock xj?
i have taken off my fender flare for a lil extra room,but im nt sure itll fit

my buddy has a stock xj and i think hes running 30 9.5's (almost positive)

tires are pretty bald and i forgot what year it was but they dont rub

It is my understanding that 235's will not rub at all. But with that said I've read that others have 30x9's and they don't have much rub if any and that it depends on how your jeep sags down at this point. If you search for "biggest tires" or "tires" s with the search option you will see previous threads and posts regarding this info. Hope this helps. I just literally purchased Cooper Discoverer S/T's for my stock 96 xj and LOVE the way that it looks. Also it's my understanding that the tires rub not on the fender flares but the LCA's.

i had to stick a 1.5" budget boost in mine to keep them from rubbing....

I have 31x10.5s on mine, with pretty minimal rubbing. My BF has 235s, and they fit with plenty of room. Intact fenders/factory height on both.

i got the stock 7" wide rims,can i only go to 9.5" wide tires?

My '98 has 255/70 on 9" rims. Not sure the backspacing. At full steer I get rub on the LCA.
I'll be able to tell you about 30x9.50's with no lift this Saturday. Mounting that size Firestone Destination M/T's then.
