tires
Hi All: I need some opinions pls! My 2000 xj is in need of tires. It's my daily driver. I'm thinking about getting a 60k tire or similar. I don't do any 4 wheeling, but do drive back roads up here in the U.P. Looking for a quiet tire, good snow traction as well as rain etc. Don,t want tires that cost more than my xj is worth. 147k and pretty good shape. Cooper ht,s look pretty good. thanks for your opinions, jerrops

Cooper offers a good tire at a good price. Check out www.tirerack.com and read some reviews and compare brands. The Yokahama Geolander is a great tire for what you're looking for.

I put a set of Uniroyal Laredo cross country's on my wife's trailblazer. I was never a fan of Uniroyal. A week after we bought them we took a trip to Ohio and hit a freak snowstorm in the West Virginia mountains. The tires performed better than I expected. Granted I was in AWD, but when i stopped to get gas I took a look at the tread, and there was no snow packed in them. The guy at the tire shop said they are made in a Michelin factory. Not sure if he was BSing me, but I'm happy with them.
