tires
Hi All: I'm looking for opinions(u know what they say about opinions)on what the best tires would be for my 2000xj. Daily driver, live in the U.P. of Mich.,winters can get rough, drive back roads in warmer weather for fishing ,hunting etc. 150k on xj,not looking to break the bank for a good tire.Xj is stock, getting xtra leaf for sagging rear springs in the spring, but maybe new tires first.Heard some good things about NEXON tires, but no one has them in stock so I can see them b4 buying, but Walmart can get in couple of days, under 400 dollars. OK,lets have those opinions!!! thanx, jerrops

I lived in the Western UP for 18 years. Loved it up there.
I ran Firestone Winterforce in the winter and plain old Multi mile highway tires in the summer. There really was no good compromise between winter and summer tires, not when you get 300" of snow.
Of course neither would be all that great for offroading, and tire technology has improved since then. I'm interested to see what's recommended.
