I'm curious as to what tire size fits a stock xj. I work at a tire place n have both 31x10.50 & 30x9.50. I figured the 31s are too big but what about the 30s?

I run 31x10.5 Mesa's and i have a 3-inch lift with sagging rear springs, that's already filling the wells up.
Got a little space left on the front, none on the back. So i think you'll be good with 30's.

Forgot to mention I have a rubbing issue with my tires, You MIGHT be ok with the 9.50 but be ready for the inner edge of the tire to rub on the trailing bar. I've already torn my tires to shreads.

Wide tires are good for hydroplaning.
